create new netcdf file in matlab 2010b

Hello to everyone,

I’m a researcher and I have the data of the speed(m/s) and direction(degrees) of sea current recorded by an instrument located at the sea (coordinates: latitudine 40 ° 27.6 'N - longitude 17 ° 12.9' E). In this fixed point, were recorded values of speed and direction at every 50 cm depth (from sea surface at 0 meters to sea bottom at -21 meters). The data cover the period of one month (from January 1st 2015 to January 31th 2015).

The data were recorded every day and every hour.

I have the data in excel format but I need to convert in the netcdf format. I thought to do it with maltab, but I’m not very practical matlab.

Please could you give me advices, suggestion, examples…?
