Keyboard remapping in live editor not working.

Hi guys,

I'm on a mac here and have remapped the begin and end keys to "begin line" and "end line" in matlab.

I have also removed these keys from "begin doc" and "end doc".

This works perfectly in the main editor and command windows but is totally ignored in the live editor where the original "begin doc" and "end doc" are still mapped to the keys.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Hi Andy,

You are right that the keyboard re-mapping does not work in Live Editor. We are working on this functionality and it is helpful to know how you use it. Are there other keyboard shortcuts you change?

I am having the same issue in 2022. I added a shortcut that will Run my current file to to a nonsense string "⌥ ⇧ 0" which I bound to a button on my mouse. The key remapping works perfectly for regular editor and is a huge QOL improvement, but whenever I try to do it for the live editor it enters the invalid character '‚' instead (which I believe is the Mac OS Output for "⌥ ⇧ 0").

Is there any way for me to fix this so that my remappings can work in live editor?

shortcut customization doesn't affect live editor.

Same issue, still in R2023b. I remap home/end to move begin/end line and similar for shift+home/end for select begin/end line.
