How would I visualize a large set of point clouds as an animation?

Hi,

I have a large amount of point cloud data and I'd like to visualize this data in the pcplayer similar to how this person has done it here I have tried to use a series of for loops and plotting a 3D animation, however I am not able to produce similar results. Could anyone offer some advice? Thanks.
