It seems that virus found when using MatLAB. What can I tell my user to do?

I recommend contacting Mathworks. It is probably a false alarm, but they would have more information.

I had the same problem with McAfee and MATLAB R2017b. When McAfee saw MATLAB starting up, it would shut it down. Then my company got McAfee to add it to the "low risk" list, and now it lets MATLAB start as expected.

You are not using McAfee, you are using Trend Micro.

We have a special relationship with McAfee (because we're a huge company that has decided upon them for all our corporate computers) - I don't know if you have that with Trend Micro. Your best bet might be to work with the Mathworks who will/may work with the antivirus companies to try to figure out what bits or behaviors seem to mimic viruses.

Hi,
ı added ""C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2022b\bin\win64\MATLAB.exe"" and "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R2022b\bin\matlab.exe" to the TREND Micro's Exception List. This solved the problems of launching "fvtool" or "Matlab updater" giving
"MATLABWindow application failed to launch. Unable to launch the MATLABWindow application. The exit
code was: -1073741819"
or
Invalid or deleted object.
