What's the unit of the normalized frequency in Matlab.

I have used fdatool to design a filter and i used the normalized frequency. I know that it should be in the interval [0,1] but i don't know what's the unit of this frequency? Can anyone tell me please?

It is normalized, and therefore it doesn't have a unit. Think of it like a percentage or a probability distribution.

It is Normalised to 0.5 x Sampling Frequency
