How can I start with my 30day matlab trial?

2 views (last 30 days)
Hey guys,
for preparation of my master degree in finance, I would like to use the MATLAB 30 day trial, however there seems to be a problem with activating the trial on the website.
I have created an account, then tried to engage the trial period. The website prompts me to a form, where I need to fill in Information about Name, intended Use, University Name, Address, etc..
After checking the box for read & accepted ToS, I am linked to a new site, where it says "Please wait, until system has loaded" (Note: Translation, it displays me in German Language: "Bitte warten, solange das System lädt ..."). However, the website seems to be stuck in a loop loading indefinitely. I have waited hours for it to complete, no luck so far.
I have tried using the latest versions of chrome and FF, running Win 8.1
Can anybody help? Thank you!
Sebastian

You mention Win 8.1. I wonder if you happen to be running the 32 bit version of Windows? If so then R2016a and onwards will not work for you.
This would not explain why you are having the download problems though.
Are you trying to do the download from the University network? If so then there is a possibility that they have blocked the connection, such as if they already have downloaded copies and do not want the network bandwidth to be used again.

I have the same issue and am not on a university network, and am on a 64 bit system. The issue seems to be a generic error with the downloader.
Chrome displays the following error when attempting to download a trial version - Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT trial_details.html? [REDACTED]) at c (jquery-latest.js:4) at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery-latest.js:4) at k (jquery-latest.js:6) at XMLHttpRequest.r (jquery-latest.js:6)
I've redacted some details from the error code due to privacy. I am requesting a trial from Canada.

I had the same issue. It looks like the it loops indefinitely if you try to download from chrome. I downloaded from firefox and it worked fine.
