I have a some data, say n rows and 4 columns. I can easily form a state matrix as indicated below.
A = [a b c d; b e f g; c f l k; d f l n];
Note: Each element in A is scalar and was computed from the data.
How can I generalize it so that it can accommodate any number of columns?

Please show what the upstream calculations are for producing the scalars that will go into the matrix. Then we can advise how to get them into a matrix in a generalized way.
