Transferring MATLAB 2008a to new laptop

I bought matlab 2008a a while ago and now am switching to new Macbook. Can I transfer it over? Where can I get the .dmg installer file and license for it? Enclosed are the contents of the original .lic file for it:

Hi,
you can go to the license center at mathworks.com and visit the section of your own licenses. When you choose the tab install and activate there should be your actual computer. In the links below you can activate a new computer. Also you can get the corresponding license files in this section and deactivate your old computer.

When I type in this license number in that license center it tells me:
The license number or activation key did not match any existing license number or activation key. Please try again. To associate your account with a license, make sure your account is using your school or work email. Account email: damian_minev@hotmail.com Change email
If you continue to have problems associating to a license, contact your MATLAB license administrator or MathWorks Support.
