What to enter in the load current port of Reduced Lundell Alternator block?

How should we enter the load current in the load current port of the reduced lundell alternator block in the powertrain blockset. Should I enter the output characteristics or should I just enter the rated current on the alternator.

Hi Asifuz -
Thanks for posting the question. When you use the Reduced Lundell Alternator block, connect the LdCurr input port to the alternator load current signal. Don't connect the input port to the rated current for the alternator.
As the simulation runs, the block uses the alternator load current as the stator winding current to determine the alternator voltage and motor torque. If you input the rated current, which is a constant value, the block will not reflect the dynamic effect of load current changes on the voltage and motor torque.
Thanks -
