Simulink Flight Control Model and Pixhawk PSP

2 views (last 30 days)
Hi, I am new to the Simulink environment and am working with the 3DR Solo drone for a postgraduate drone flight control project. My school uses the Matlab R2018b version.
I have read the forums on on the Pixhawk PSP but still none the wiser on the following:
  • if I follow all the steps to install the Pixhawk PSP on my PC, what exactly does the PSP provide me with ?
  • Does it come 'pre-loaded' with a basic flight control Simulink model which I can immediately customise and load into the Pixhawk controller in my 3DR drone ?
  • My project's core interest is in exploring different trajectory planning and generation algorithms for the drone so I am looking to tinker with a 'reference'/basic flight control model rather than build the entire flight control model from scratch - does the Pixhawk PSP from Mathworks offer this ?
Appreciate if anyone can enlighten and point me in the correct direction, thank you.
Regards,
KH

Hi Kang,
The official support package - 'Embedded Coder Support Package for PX4 Autopilots' is now live from R2018b onwards.
The support package has an example with a basic flight controller for a hexacopter. You will have to modify if for your airframe.
