I am a PhD candidate and I need to compute stream flow by using the Standardized Streamflow Index (SSFI).

what shall I do

especially that I haven't used Matlab ever :(

I have the SPI data for stations ATTACHED

Before you try to do something sophisticated using some tool, you need to learn to use that tool. Don't try to run before you know how to even stand on two feet. Learn to stand on your feet. Learn to walk. THEN learn to run.

So read the getting started tutorials for MATLAB.
