Hello, i'm working with compressed air system and I need chamber not just with air inlet, but with outlet also. Does anybody know where can be found in textbooks continuity equation ( http://www.mathworks.com/help/toolbox/physmod/simscape/ref/constantvolumepneumaticchamber.html ) for chamber? I need to understand its derivation to be able to create chamber with inlet and with outlet.

There are various ones listed in the Bibliography section of the documentation, such as:
  1. Andersen, B. W. The Analysis and Design of Pneumatic Systems. New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1967.
  2. Beater, P. Pneumatic Drives. System Design, Modeling, and Control. New York: Springer, 2007.
  3. Moran M.J. and Shapiro H.N. Fundamentals of Engineering Thermodynamics. Second edition. New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1992.
  4. Sanville, F. E. " A New Method of Specifying the Flow Capacity of Pneumatic Fluid Power Valves. " Paper D3, p.37-47. BHRA. Second International Fluid Power Symposium, Guildford, England, 1971.
I personally own #2 and can recommend it.
