How to calculate the surface of a plot from an extracted file from Sim4Life

2 views (last 30 days)
Hello everyone,
I am working on a project and I have exported a file from Sim4Life that is the SAR distribution in a certain volume. I would like to calculate the surface under the plot, in order to calculate the total SAR in this volume. Can someone help me on how to calculate the surface? On the worksheet, it shows : Snapshot0 8905376x1 single. I am completely new to matlab so I am not sure if what I need is clear or not. Hopefully you can help me on this matter.

It seems Sim4Life is some sort of physical modeling software. It would likely help if you enlightened us on what a ‘SAR distribution’ is, what the plot is, and what the format of the underlying data for the plot are.

Yes I completely forgot to explain some things. SAR means special absorption rate and it measures the rate with which the electromagnetic radiation is absorbed, in my case the human tissue. It is measured in Watt/kg. I have attached a screenshot of the plot but I am not sure I understand the last question of yours. My goal is to calculate the total SAR deposited onto the human tissue and if I am not mistaken. that can be achieved by calculating the surface under the plot.
