trial extension policy/process for off-campus students

Hello, In the sping I contact you about student trial periods and how to handle students not living at campus and having access to our University platforms and licensing. It was recommend they sign up for a 30-day trial and keep renewing it over the summer. One of my students just indicated they had a problem getting the 30 day license renewed and asked for help. Is there anything special they should be doing to end the existing trial license before starting(requesting) the new trial license? I am not sure which version they have.
