Parfor freezes during execution

Sometimes happens that parfor hangs during the execution without returning any error. When this occurs, the processors work at few percent of their potential. I tried to change the number of cores, but the problem still happens. I know the many other people have exeperienced the same issue.

I wish mathorks may fix this problem soon!

I attached the code. You have to launch batch_standalone_demo.m

Unfortunately, I cannot upload any input data for the 5 MB size limit of the attachment, but you can use two jpeg images at your choice. Just put them in the same folder of the scripts. I suggest to test the code with large images (>20 Mpx), because the freezing problem occurs more often with larger input data
