how to find the location of peaks by using histogram gradient changes?

I found histogram and accumulated histogram for an image. I want to find the location of peaks by using histogram gradient changes. I want to know whether histogram is different from histogram gradient changes. From that how to find the location of peaks and it is to be stored for further processing.

I have no idea what all this means. What is the accumulated histogram? Do you mean the cumulative distribution function (CDF)? What are you trying to do? Histogram matching, like done by the imhistmatch() function? Why can't you use save() for storing variables? What does the histogram gradient have to do with anything? Can you post screenshots and an image, and explain better what it is that you want to measure or detect?
