Saving paneled figure with uitable

I am trying to save a figure in MATLAB 2012b with several panels, including plotted data and one uitable. When using the saveas function the uitable does not appear when saved as tif/jpg. For some reason it does appear when saved in fig format, but I really need the figure saved as a tif/jpg. Interestingly, when I use the drop down saveas on the figure itself the saved tif also shows the uitable.

Is there a way to use the saveas function with a tif and still have the uitable appear?.. Thanks!

Did you try print instead? Or getframe and imwrite?

I had tried print and imwrite before and they also didn't work. imwrite actually saved a blank image.

The getframe combined with imwrite I didn't think of. That worked, thanks!
