Not able to complete the booting progress for installation of Beagleboard-Cx using Simulink

1 view (last 30 days)
Hello,
I'm following the recommended steps on this page: http://www.mathworks.com/hardware-support/beagleboard.html
In the step 11 of Replace Firmware on BeagleBoard Hardware of configuration, I was not able to get pass through this step. Since I'm using a Beagleboard-Cx version instead of the xm version, so I'm holding the USER button, then press and release the RESET button. After clicking the 'Next' to continue, the boot progress was never able to get pass 7 of 9. After 2-3 minutes, it would show an error: reset board message, which looks something like below:
Timed out while waiting for the board, Check that:
1. Board is powered on
2. Serial cable is connected
3. Correct serial port is selected
4. Memory card is fully inserted
The weird thing is that I have double checked all of the above, and the boot progress can never get pass 7 of 9. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Justin,
How were you able to get passed the booting issue? I am facing the same trouble and I would appreciate any input.
Thanks
