How can I capture state space variables for use in control in simpowersystems?

I have a three-phase power system model complete with generators, generator controls, and an impedance network. I wish to analyze the electromechanical modes of the system and damp select oscillations using a FACTS type of device.
Can I use the LTI viewer to perform this task? Is there a way to get a table of eigenvalues/vectors, singular values, etc? I'd like to evaluate them in order to optimize placement of the FACTS type device and to assess observability and controlability.
An help is appreciated.
Thanks, -M

This is part of an effort to clean up old unanswered questions:
Please use the linear system analyzer in the power gui tool. You will need the controls toolboxes for this feature to do everything.
