Why do I receive an error when opening Microsoft Excel after installing the Spreadsheet Link EX 3.0.3 (R2009a)?

I installed Spreadsheet Link EX 3.0.3 (R2009a) on my computer running Windows 7. Now, when I start Excel, I always receive the following error message:
Microsoft Visual Basic Run-time error '-2147024156 (800702e4)'
Automation error: The requested operation requires elevation.
When I click on "Continue", Excel starts up, but I do not see the "Add-Ins" menu, and I am unable to use the Spreadsheet Link EX.

When using Microsoft Excel on Windows 7 with Spreadsheet Link EX, Excel needs to be launched in administrator mode immediately after Spreadsheet Link EX has been installed. Excel can be launched in administrator mode as follows:
1. Right click on Excel.exe
2. Select "Run as Administrator...".
Once this is done, you should no longer see this error message.
