This error is the result of either an incompatibility between the CD/DVD media and the CD-ROM/DVD device or by a set of damaged media. If possible, try running an installation on a different machine or through a different CD/DVD drive. This will determine whether the issue is a set of bad media.
If the media is damaged, contact Customer Service here to request a new set:
If the media works in another machine, there are a few possible workarounds for this issue:
1) Copy the installation files from the media to the local disk:
This issue may occur during the installation process when the installer reads the contents of the disk. To workaround this issue, copy the contents of the installation media to local hard disk. Once copied, try running the setup.exe from the hard drive.
2) Launch the installer in Windows Safe Mode
This issue could be a problem with a software driver. To disable the driver, you can restart the computer in Safe Mode. To do so, restart the computer and tap the F8 key repeatedly until you see a menu. Choose the option for "Safe Mode with Networking". Log in as normal and launch the installer.
Note: In Safe mode, the computer will display in low resolution.
3) Finally, if you have another computer that is networked to the first, you may be able to share out the CD/DVD-ROM drive and run the installation over the network.
If you are still unable to install using any of these methods, contact the Installation Support team here:
