How can I specify the number and spacing between minor tick marks in MATLAB and maintain it even when zooming?

I would like to specify the number and spacing of minor tick marks displayed, and maintain this spacing and display even when I zoom in and out.

The ability to control the number and spacing of minor ticks and maintain it while zooming is not directly available in MATLAB.

To workaround this issue, you can create your own minor tick marks and use the ACTIONPOSTCALLBACK of the ZOOM function in order to keep the ticks scalable when zooming in and out of the axes.

As an example, refer to the attached MATLAB code file: tickZoom.m. Note that the attached file is just an example to get started and is not qualified or tested with different versions of MATLAB.
