How do I download an older release of MATLAB?

To download an older release of MATLAB:

1. Go to https://www.mathworks.com/downloads
2. Sign in to your MathWorks account if you are not already signed in.
3. On the left side of the screen, select the release you want to download. You may need to click on show more to find the release you are looking for.
4. Click the blue button labeled 'Download for OS/Platform" to download the MathWorks Installer. 

NOTE: The "OS/Platform" corresponds to the operating system; the default operating system shown is derived from the machine that you are accessing the Downloads page on. To download the MathWorks Installer for another operating system than the one listed, select the down arrow to the right of the blue button.

NOTE 2: If you are a License administrator, verify the "I WANT TO:" drop-down on top is selected to "Install Products." 

Please contact MathWorks support if you are unable to find the MATLAB release you are looking for on this page.

The sequence still works for me. Very recently they appear to have changed the way that you select which operating system you want, but nothing major.

If you are using an institutional license, then whether you have the ability to download old versions or not is controlled by your institution.

Hi,

at the link on the left it appears only the R2021a release.

Where can I find the R2018a release for 30days trial?

(MAC has El Capitan oS I can install only R2018a)

To get trials of anything other than the newest version, you need to contact Mathworks Sales.

I do not know if they will be willing to give a trial of a version that old, especially since they know you would not be purchasing later releases (since the later releases will not run on the system.)

Works for me. Are you sure that you are logged into your mathworks account (and that your subscription is active)?

Also this is not available for Student licenses . I am not certain whether it is available for Home licenses . For commercial and academic licenses the license administers might have disabled downloading .
