Nonlinear Modeling of a Moving Coil Loudspeaker
Version 1.0.0 (222 KB) by
Steve Thompson
This submission uses Simscape and the Acoustical Library for Simscape to model the nonlinear behavior of loudspeakers.
Wolfgang Klippel describes the physical phenomena that produce nonlinear behavior and suggests methods for modeling the nonlinearities (see here). The Acouttical Library for Simscape contains components that implement these methods. The subsystem Library in this submission uses the fundamental components for the Acoustical Library to create a speaker model that includes the nonlinearities. The Example model file uses the library subsystem to show an example of the calculation of loudspeaker performance including nonlinearities.
