Overview
Embedded Target for RH850 Virtual Platform (ET-VPF) is a development environment that generates peripheral code for target devices from Simulink models and enables Virtual Hardware In the Loop Simulation with Simulink and virtual platform.
ET-VPF requires the license key installation. See the Setup and License sections before use.
Setup
  1. Download installer of ET-VPF from product page and install it.
  2. Renesas IDE such as CS+ is needed to execute ET-VPF. Check ET-VPF User’s Manual Chap.1.2 for CS+ versions supported by ET-VPF.Then download an installer of Renesas IDE from product pages of CS+ and install it.
  3. Renesas code generator such as Smart Configurator is needed to execute ET-VPF. Check ET-VPF User’s Manual Chap.1.2 for Smart Configurator versions supported by ET-VPF.Then download an installer of Smart Configurator from product pages of Smart Configurator and install it.
  4. The virtual platform such as VLAB of Australian Semiconductor Technology Company (ASTC) is needed to execute ET-VPF. Contact ASTC from Contact Us | ASTC (astc-design.com).
Getting Started
For detailed instructions about using ET-VPF, see ET-VPF user’s manual. Also, introduction and demonstration movies will be helpful to understand ET-VPF.
Introduction of RH850 Model-Based Environment
License
ET-VPF needs a license key for running Virtual HIL simulation for Renesas Devices. For trying ET-VPF, license key of evaluation version is enabled by requesting Renesas technical support. Also, the commercial version of ET-VPF is on sale. For more information, visit the product page of ET-VPF.
