Communicates with JLD416PVA meter over MODBUS RTU. Sends one read command to interrogate all six holding registers of the unit. Also parses the response into voltage, current and power with meaningful units. Includes a sample script to repeatedly poll the device for the measurements. Screenshot was developed measuring a 50/100/150 W three-way lamp.

As I understand your code is for the case when the computer acts as the MODBUS host and the power meter as a slave device. Do you know how to implement MODBUS RS485 communication with MATLAB on the slave computer. I cannot find anything on that !
