I forgot to mention you need to have some dummy name for "modelname" or the code won't continue to ask if you want to save the processed .STL file.

Hello David,

.stl and .raw files can't be loaded. Is there a way to transform .stl or .raw files into .mat? Thanks. Ioannis

Hello David,

Has the .stl import issue which Joao outlined been resolved or a workround been found as I am having the same issue.

Hi David
I'm also having problems importing .stl archives. When i import the file, the following error appears:

Undefined function or variable "A".

Error in utilities>ImportSTL_Callback (line 283)
[V, indexm, indexn] = unique(A, 'rows');

Error in gui_mainfcn (line 95)
feval(varargin{:});

Error in utilities (line 60)
gui_mainfcn(gui_State, varargin{:});

Error in @(hObject,eventdata)utilities('ImportSTL_Callback',hObject,eventdata,guidata(hObject))

The .stl file I'm using is binary and is on the positive octant.

Serious bug in polardb.m ! You named a variable "dbstep" which is a debugger command. While the code currently executes, this name causes the debugger to hang at the line defining the variable "dbstep" .
I also recommend you change the name of the variable "pmax" as that is a function name.
