ThingSpeak is a free web service hosted by MathWorks that lets you collect, analyze and act on sensor data, and develop Internet of Things applications. The ThingSpeak Support Toolbox lets you use MATLAB to read data from ThingSpeak and write data to ThingSpeak. It also provides functions to visualize data stored on ThingSpeak.com or on private installations of the ThingSpeak server.

Yes, you can compile this ThingSpeak support Toolbox by adding the entire folder (ThingSpeak Support Toolbox folder) to "Files required for your application to run" in Compiler window.

Just open the mltbx file and (provided you already have MATLAB installed), you should be prompted to install the toolbox.

For users of R2016b, this updated version of the submission adds support for Timetable in thingSpeakRead and thingSpeakWrite. In addition, you will find documentation updates which provide examples on using Timetable for processing ThingSpeak data.
Update includes improved error messages and documentation. For users with R2016a, we have also added support for “Tab Completion” of functional names parameters.
Fixed bug preventing use on Mac platform in R2015a.
