Spoke is a MATLAB app for live display of neural spike data obtained using the SpikeGLX neural recording software. Spoke & SpikeGLX are compatible with the Whisper extracellular recording system developed at HHMI/Janelia Research Campus in the APIG lab of Tim Harris.
Spoke is developed/maintained by the APIG Lab at HHMI/Janelia Research Campus.

John, although the description remains quite vague, based on the submitter's institute I doubt this is a useless student project. Of course it would help if the submission had a more extensive doc page on GitHub with screenshots, a clearer outline of what Spoke does, etc.
Why would anyone want to download this? You give them no hint as to what it does, how it might help them. "initial submit" and 'whisper spoke project" are meaningless.
As it is, this has no value to anyone. It might be something. So far, my only guess is it is a student project, in which case, why bother to upload it? Why waste the network bandwidth?
A more elaborate description than "Initial submit" and "whisper spoke project" would actually tell people what this does, and why it might be useful, and why they might like to download it.
What does "initial submit" tell me about the capabilities of this submission? There is no useful description, no examples, no obvious demo file, no help. This is obviously a complicated submission, with many files, various requirements, MEX files, etc, yet there is no explanation of what it all does.
