SIMULATION OF PHOTOVOLTAIC/HYDRO HYBRID ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM UTILITY DESIGNED

This design focus in modeling and simulation of photovoltaic/ hydro hybrid electric power system inter connected to the electrical utility, PV/hydro turbine, taking into account all radiation, temperature, HYDRO speeds and variation of the load demand during the day. A computer simulation program has been designed to simulate all quantities of HEPS such as phase voltage of the inverter leg and current in each IGBT’s for PV and HTG. It also simulates AC output current of the inverter that injected to the load/grid, load current, grid current, power output from PV and HTG, power delivered to or from grid and finally power factor of the inverter for PV, HTG and grid. The proposed computer simulation uses hysteresis current control and instantaneous p-q (real-imaginary) power theory. The computer simulation program is confirmed on a realistic circuit model which implemented in the Simulink environment of Matlab and works as if ON-line.

Hello @INDRA and other Simulinkians!

It seems that this I think may only work on older MATLAB 7.9 (R2009b) as stated on the right under MATLAB Release. I tried running it in my R2017b. Although it opens the model and shows me the system and subsystems, it won't actually run the Simulink simulation. Hoping that this would help port the .mdl or upgrade it to work with newer R2017b or later, this is what it tells me when I click the Simulink Run button:
"Some of the issues encountered during model compilation may be because this model was created in a previous release. Open the Upgrade Advisor to identify and fix upgrade problems."
