ABRAVIBE Noise and Vibration Analysis toolbox

A comprehensive toolbox for experimental and analytical vibration analysis.

The ABRAVIBE toolbox is an accompanying toolbox for the book "Noise and Vibration Analysis: Signal Analysis and Experimental Procedures," Wiley, 2011, by Anders Brandt. The toolbox provides a comprehensive set of functions for common acoustic and vibration analysis tasks, as well as numerous examples for each chapter of the book, to aid the learning of this topic.

The ABRAVIBE toolbox can also be used for vibration analysis by anyone who acquires time data by some measurement system. (Data acquisition is not really a part of the toolbox, although there are some rudimentary functions to support DAQmx hardware.)

The toolbox contains functions for time domain filtering such as integration, differentiation, shock response spectra, and 1/n octave filtering, statistical analysis such as probability density estimates and statistical stationarity tests, mechanical system simulation based on mass and stiffness matrices or modal model descriptions, spectrum analysis, frequency response estimation, principal component and virtual coherence analysis, experimental modal analysis, rotating machinery analysis including synchronous sampling order tracking, and much more.

Parts of this toolbox should also appeal to anyone in the signal processing area who wishes to perform spectral analysis or frequency response estimation using FFT based methods.

UPDATE! A new version, revision 1.2, is now available! The version includes improved methods for experimental modal analysis with the polyreference time domain method. UPDATE! A new version, revision 2.0 is now available! The version includes a new Ibrahim time domain parameter estimation method for both experimental modal analysis (EMA) and operational modal analysis (OMA). In addition, the stabilization diagram is enhanced with a GUI. There is also a novel GUI for impact testing, which is done in quite a unique way, using recorded time signals of the force and response signals.
