Friction and Roughness
Updated 01 Feb 2019
The calculation of the Darcy-Weisbach friction factor is made from the Reynolds number and the relative roughness coefficient, by different methods (implicit and explicit). The calculation method to be used is specified with an input argument.
Additionally, a subroutine is provided to estimate the roughness coefficient from measurements of the Reynolds number and the friction factor under different operating conditions of the pipeline.
