The SOFA software is a collection of subprograms that implement official IAU algorithms for fundamental-astronomy computations including Astrometry, Calendars, Time Scales, Earth rotation and sidereal time, Ephemerides (medium precision), Geocentric/geodetic transformations, Precession, nutation, polar motion, Star space motion, Star catalogue conversion.
