We provide a reference code to analyze and simulate a wifi and lte-laa coexisting network, respectively. The wifi network and lte-laa network have different configurable parameters, including number of nodes, initial backoff window size, maximum backoff stage, retry limit, number of sensing slots, and transmission opportunities (TXOPs). We assume no decoding errors, no hidden terminals and infinite buffer for each node.

Specifcally, we establish a mathematical model for LAA and WiFi coexistence, and obtain the optimal initial backoff window size of LAA to maintain proportional fairness with WiFi.

Specifically, in the reference code of "thr_laa_wifi_fig7b.m", the node throughput of LAA nodes and WiFi nodes is calculated using mathematical equations, which are obtained basing on our theoretical model. You can see that by tuning the initial backoff window size of LAA to the optimal value, LAA and WiFi always achieve the same node throughput. In the reference code of "simu_laa_wifi_fig7b.m", simulation results are used to verify the analysis.
