I thought it would be cool to do this, so I did. Run TamagotchiGUI.m. There are instructions in the Help menu. You can change the default characters and create your own. Please tell me about compatibility issues. I've made this with Matlab 2009 on Windows 7.
No copyright infringement intended. If you like this, you can purchase a real Tamagotchi from Bandai.
