Full Flight Dynamics Model coded in MATLAB (Not SIMULINK) and exported to Flightgear through "prerecorded flight" feature.
FDM is 6 DOF Capable, updates at 25Hz, and includes aircraft data from aerodynamics analysis. AKA - It flies like a real plane.
All of the PID loops are coded manually in MATLAB (post on video if you would like code examples or help) and they are as follows:
Pitch Control + Rate of Climb control - The ROC loop returns an AOA to "aim" for, and the Pitch loop makes the elevator surfaces deflect to meet the AOA.
No flight surface animations, I know, but we're all on a limited amount of time.
