Deniz Kumlu carried out his MS research work in the OMLP group at USC, where he developed a system for autonomous ship recognition from color images, in which the training data combined real images and synthetically generated images. He received his MS in August, 2012. He is currently a PhD student at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. His current research is in the areas of particle filter tracking, Bayesian inference and SMC methods.
