HLA Toolbox is the MATLAB interface to the High-Level Architecture standard for distributed simulation (co-simulation). Designed to improve organization efficiency to participate in multinational simulations or to implement distributed simulation locally, the HLA Toolbox greatly simplifies the federation development process and model reusability. Federate interactions with the RTI can easily be implemented through the hlaGUI generating the necessary MATLAB code ready for customization. The interface also provides an organized view of the FOM presenting the object and interaction classes for an easy selection of the attributes and/or interactions your federate will publish and/or subscribe. The generated MATLAB code can be customized to implement the specifics of your model behaviors leveraging any of the RTI service groups (Federation Management, Declaration Management, Object Management, Ownership Management, Time Management, and Data Distribution Management).
The HLA Toolbox is compatible with any other toolboxes and benefits from all MATLAB features like the debugger, the profiler, GUIDE, App Designer, visualization tools, data access tools, OOP, and numerical algorithms. C or C++ code can also be injected in your federate via S-functions. The HLA Toolbox simplifies and accelerates federation development process and gives users more time to focus on model logic.
HLA Blockset, also from ForwardSim, provides similar capabilities but for the Simulink environment.
