The IntelinAir RD-100 is a multirotor UAV built for the academic researcher. Kits include the RD-100 UAV, AP-100 autopilot, ground control software, communication links and the IntelinAir SafeSmart Toolbox for MATLAB® and Simulink®.  IntelinAir’s SafeSmart Robust Adaptive Control provides stable and safe flight even in the most unfavorable conditions, based on technology validated by NASA and the U.S. Air Force. IntelinAir’s SafeSmart technology is easy to fly both manually and automatically, and indoors or outdoors. Camera and gimbal are optional and users can swap cameras and payloads without retuning the controller.

IntelinAir’s SafeSmart Toolbox for MATLAB and Simulink provides a framework for the development of custom flight software, featuring an integrated workflow for development, simulation, flight, and post-flight verification using MATLAB and Simulink.  The toolbox enables researchers to choose from a handful of reference models or create their own models in Simulink, and use them to control the UAV seamlessly, without additional coding outside the MATLAB and Simulink environment.  Effectively, Simulink becomes the control interface for the UAV. It supports software-in-the-loop testing and simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and automatic flight. This allows the researcher to follow aerospace industry standard practices when developing and testing new innovative algorithms.
