MATLAB Distributed Computing Server

MathWorks Hosted License Manager for MATLAB Distributed Computing Server

Parallel Computing Toolbox™ lets you parallelize your MATLAB® application to take advantage of desktop resources like multicore processors and GPUs. MATLAB Distributed Computing Server™ allows you to scale your parallel MATLAB application to on-premise clusters or clusters on cloud computing services.

Cloud-based licensing for MATLAB Distributed Computing Server provides you with flexibility when running MATLAB computations, and it gives you the option to access on-demand licensing as well as perpetual or annual licensing.

MATLAB Distributed Computing Server licenses are configured with a FlexNet® license manager by default. MathWorks provides the MathWorks Hosted License Manager as an alternative to using the FlexNet license manager. It enables organizations to set up and administer MATLAB Distributed Computing Server on their clusters or on clouds such as Amazon EC2 or Penguin Computing POD.

In addition to support for perpetual and annual licensing options, the MathWorks Hosted License Manager provides the following flexibility for MATLAB Distributed Computing Server:

  • Ability to use MATLAB Distributed Computing Server in the cloud without the need to re-host FlexNet or open your organizational firewall
  • On-demand licensing for MATLAB Distributed Computing Server

By registering for access to MATLAB Distributed Computing Server on the cloud, you can request a new license or to have an existing MATLAB Distributed Computing Server license configured for MathWorks Hosted License Manager.

Users of MATLAB Parallel Cloud™ are automatically set up for an on-demand MATLAB Distributed Computing Server license configured for MathWorks Hosted License Manager.
