Modeling and Simulation of Dynamic Systems

Modeling and Simulation of Dynamic Systems

The material in this book is designed for a course in engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The book provides comprehensive coverage of modeling techniques of the major types of dynamic engineering systems, solution techniques for the resulting differential equations for linear and nonlinear systems, and attendant mathematical procedures related to the presentation of dynamic systems and determination of their time and frequency response characteristics. The book explains in detail how to select all of the system component parameter values for static and dynamic performance specifications and limits. The example problems in the text are solved using MATLAB and an appendix provides guidance on the use of MATLAB for the solution of typical dynamic simulation problems.
