Installing and Configuring MATLAB Distributed Computing Server
Parallel Computing with MATLAB on a Cluster
Parallel computing with MATLAB® on a cluster requires two products:
- MATLAB Distributed Computing Server™, which should be installed on each computer of the cluster that performs the computation.
- Parallel Computing Toolbox™, which should be installed on the computer where you write your applications.
Installing the Current Release
The online documentation for MATLAB Distributed Computing Server provides complete instructions and reference for installation and configuration covering all supported schedulers. Instructions and reference for installation with the latest release are also available in PDF format as an administration guide.
If you are using the MATLAB job scheduler that ships with the product, you can use the quickstart guide specific to MATLAB job scheduler.
Read the system requirements for these products before proceeding with either the documentation or the guide.
Installing Older Releases
To install older releases of these products, see the instructions, Installing and Configuring Older Releases of MATLAB Distributed Computing Server.
To install and configure these products, you must have an activated License File and a File Installation Key, which you download from the License Center at the appropriate time in the installation procedure.
If you have questions at any point in the installation, configuration, or licensing procedure, contact MathWorks Installation Support.
