Richard Willey, MathWorks
Lucio Cetto, MathWorks

In this webinar you learn how to perform Next Generation Sequence (NGS) visualization and analysis using MATLAB and Bioinformatics Toolbox.  An applied ChIP-Seq example is used to illustrate key components of NGS analysis including:

  • Visualizing sequence reads using the NGS browser in Bioinformatics Toolbox
  • Peak detection using wavelet denoising
  • Working with pair end short reads
  • Generating coverage plots at the base pair level of resolution

About the Presenter: Richard Willey is a product marketing manager focused on MATLAB and add-on products for statistics and computational biology.  Prior to joining MathWorks in 2007, Richard worked at Wind River Systems and Symantec. Richard has a master’s degree in engineering and management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in economics from Indiana University.
