tempname - Unique name for temporary file

Syntax

tmp_nam = tempname

Description

tmp_nam = tempname returns a unique string, tmp_nam, suitable for use as a temporary filename.

Note   The filename that tempname generates is not guaranteed to be unique; however, it is likely to be so.
