Camera calibration is the process of estimating parameters of the camera using images of a special calibration pattern. The parameters include camera intrinsics, distortion coefficients, and camera extrinsics.
You can use the Camera Calibrator app to estimate camera intrinsics, extrinsics, and lens distortion parameters. Use these camera parameters to remove lens distortion effects from an image, measure planar objects, reconstruct 3-D scenes from multiple cameras, and perform other computer vision applications.
You can also use the Stereo Camera Calibrator app to calibrate a stereo camera. You can then use the camera to recover depth from images. The app estimates the parameters of each of the two cameras. It also calculates the position and orientation of camera 2 relative to camera 1.
