Description

In this current work the ride and handling performance of an automobile with passive suspension system is simulated and analyzed. The suspension system modeled considered here as a two degree of freedom quarter car model. The suspension system designed here is totally designed and analyzed separately using MathWorks products namely MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape and tries to draw conclusion on which of these MathWorks products provides better results and which product is easy to work with, in relation lumped parameter models in this case suspension system

Required Products Control System Toolbox
Simscape
Simulink
MATLAB release MATLAB 7.4 (R2007a)

I intend to build a full car model of active suspension system controlled by fuzzy using simscape and I want to use your model as the basis. Your model is very great but I still confuse where I should connect the controller in case I want to add fuzzy controller. Maybe you can explain and give examples to me. Please help me. Thank you very much.

I also intend to build a quarter or half car model of active suspension system controlled by LMI using simulink and I want to use your model as the basis. Your model is very great but I still confuse where I should connect the controller in case I want to add controller. Maybe you can explain and give examples to me. Please help me. Thank you very much.

Hi, I know this is a little late but I am concerned about the way you connect the Zr input to the simscape model. If I am not mistaken you are trying to have a Road Profile of 0.2 m applied to the Quarter of Vehicle. Nonetheless, you are using a Simscape force source with 0.2 as driving input. In this way you are applying a force of 0.2 N to the lower spring, which is not equivalent to a 0.2m road.
Regards.

hi! i want to build a quarter car model with simscape and i want to ask if gravity exists on this model.

I'm studying this kind of systems but I think Javier Ruiz is right. Maybe you could put a force as input instead of Zr=0.2m.

hi
how to build a half-car model using Simscape?

hi
why the simulation quarter car model are small fluctuations of the masses (0.0000006 m)?
not realistic!!!
explain the results.
