Description

Abstract—A method for computing the far field pattern of an antenna under test (AUT) using cylindrical near field data was presented in the previous paper. This paper shall go further ahead in the problem solving based on the algorithm developed in the earlier paper and using GUIDE-the Graphical User Interface Development Environment available in MATLAB® 7.
 This tool enables us to produce educational software which combines the computing and graphics capability of MATLAB with convenient Graphical User Interfaces. The inputs to this project are 2-D ( amplitude and phase i.e complex form ) scan of the E-fields [ E (theta) and E(phi)] at a fixed distance from the antenna on a cylindrical scan surface.
