Description

This simple graphical user interface (GUI) allows you to quickly set up a GPIB connection for simple communication.

This GUI requires the Instrument Control Toolbox. It uses INSTRHWINFO function to check for all available GPIB adaptors, boards, and addresses. Selecting the adaptor on the upper right-hand list-box will populate the lower right-hand list-bow with available boards and primary addresses. Use the 'scan' button in the upper right-hand corner to search for boards and addresses.

The adaptor and board/address can be specified, but only when disconnected. If connected, disconnect the connection, make the changes, and re-connect.

[Note: This example was created in MATLAB R2009b, but has been tested to work on releases back to R2007b. May work with earlier releases with slight modifications.]

Required Products Instrument Control Toolbox
MATLAB release MATLAB 7.9 (2009b)
