Error messages enabled me to debug problems following installation of this program. I had to simply rename 2 files: One was system.m, the other was open.m. There was a clash with Matlab inbuilt functions. Renaming these files avoided the errors that were preventing scripts opening. Was forced to debug problem when realised that Simulink models would no longer work. After a few steps, all seems good again

Troublesome install on mac. Created a power folder, added all files. Google search rename all files to lowercase. Added path to folder. Tried running chapter example. Failed. Opened file in xcode, copied text. Open new script matlab. Example and all functions appear good. Good luck

sorry, i dont know to much about power system analysis, i want to simulate a Synchronous machine, but when i put the code the system tell me that i have this errors:

Error using feval
Undefined function 'symshort' for input arguments of type 'double'.

Error in odearguments (line 88)
f0 = feval(ode,t0,y0,args{:}); % ODE15I sets args{1} to yp0.

Error in ode45 (line 114)
[neq, tspan, ntspan, next, t0, tfinal, tdir, y0, f0, odeArgs, odeFcn, ...

Error in problema327y228n (line 8)
[t, i] = ode45('symshort', tspan, i0); % use for MATLAB 5

Please help me with this. im new in use of Matlab. Thanks.

Thanks a lot, this is very helpful since the CD in the book only has the Windows installer, nothing for Mac users.

I have a small problem though, all the files and extensions (.m etc.) are in UPPERCASE letters. For example "LINEPERF.M" and this doesn't work in Matlab(the ".M" ext. ).
