Robust estimation of Spatial Gaussian mixture models and various ways to adjust background.

It estimates unknown parameters in a spatial Gaussian mixture models using a robust EM algorithm. It also provides various ways (soft assignment or hard assignment) to standardize the observations (i.e. background adjustment) such that the resulting scores are like standard normal.
